Greg Chandler is a senior partner of Eads Murray & Pugh who devotes 100% of his legal practice to serving the needs of Indiana homeowners associations, condominium associations, and other community associations. Greg has served Indiana homeowners associations and condominium associations for nearly two decades and works with association boards on a wide variety of legal issues, including:
Serving as general counsel for associations.
Drafting, amending, and interpreting covenants, bylaws, incorporation documents, rules, and other pertinent documents governing Indiana homeowners associations.
Reviewing and drafting contracts, easements, and other real estate and contractual documents.
Covenant enforcement and litigation.
Corporate governance and transactional matters.
Collection of deliquent assessments.
Compliance with state, federal, and municipal laws and ordinances.
In this capacity, Greg often spends evenings and Saturday mornings attending board and membership meetings, and helping board members navigate the sometimes rough waters they can face as a community leader. An educator at heart, Greg genuinely enjoys educating and assisting board members who are passionate about preserving, protecting, and enhancing their communities.
Greg is immensely involved in the Community Associations Institute (CAI). He is a current Board member and past president of the Central Indiana CAI chapter, has regularly served as chairperson of the Central Indiana CAI chapter’s education committee, and has presented at dozens of educational seminars designed to educate board members and community managers on issues affecting Indiana community associations. Greg has presented at the National CAI Law Seminar and has taught continuing legal education courses for Indiana attorneys.
Greg was inducted as a Fellow into the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL) in 2018, becoming just the third Indiana attorney to be admitted into this prestigious national organization. Of many thousands of community association attorneys nationwide, fewer than 175 have been accepted into CCAL. CCAL Fellows are considered to be leaders within the field of community association law and among the most respected community association attorneys nationwide.
In 2023, Greg was honored as the recipient of the Scott and Carole Tanner Memorial Award by the Central Indiana Chapter of CAI. The award was created in 2023 in honor of the late Scott and Carole Tanner and is intended to recognize an individual who has demonstrated selfless commitment to community association education, volunteerism, and the development of the community association industry throughout Indiana.
In his spare time, Greg enjoys writing, traveling, hiking, volunteering, running, and preparing gourmet microwavable meals.
