Greg Chandler presents at Board Leadership Workshop

Eads Murray & Pugh, P.C. attorney Greg Chandler spoke to a room of nearly 60 community association board members at the Central Indiana Chapter-Community Associations Institute (CIC-CAI) Board Leadership Development Workshop Saturday, January 27, at the Marriott North in Indianapolis.  Chandler was one of five speakers at the seminar, which was intended to educate association board members on the most fundamental aspects of community management.

The Workshop consisted of six modules, including presentations addressing the roles and responsibilities of associations and boards, meeting management, covenant enforcement and financial management.  Chandler’s 60-minute presentation focused on assessment collection, addressing the rights and obligations to collect maintenance fees, legal remedies for pursuing delinquencies, bankruptcies, foreclosures and common collection roadblocks.

Over the past 10 years, Chandler has devoted nearly 100% of his law practice to representation of homeowners and condominium associations.  He has assisted association boards on a wide variety of issues, including enforcement of community covenants, assessment collection, foreclosure litigation, preparation of and amendments to restrictive covenants and corporate bylaws, and general association governance matters.  He was the 2016 president of CIC-CAI and speaks regularly at educational seminars for association board members and community managers.
